FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We’re expanding our fibre network rapidly in Nigeria and availability is constantly growing! Please check our coverage page for availability and internet service providers.

Visit our coverage page to check if there is fibre in your area and to find an ISP. Once your order is placed with your ISP, it will go through a number of verification steps both from our side as well as from your ISP’s side. Once all of these steps have been completed and your order has been accepted and processed, you will receive an email and be contacted to schedule your installation.

We, as Open Access Metro, build and maintain the high-speed, open-access fibre network in your area and provide your home with a fibre connection point. An Internet Service Provider (ISP) is the company you pay to provide you with connectivity to the internet over our network. They use our connection point to provide you with internet access and Wi-Fi.

A new installation takes approximately 7-10 working days. The installation is designed to be smooth and hassle-free! Your internet service provider (ISP) will schedule a convenient appointment, and certified technicians will run a thin fibre cable to your home, usually through existing entry points. They will discreetly connect it to your router and optimise your settings for your speed. They will clean up afterwards and you’ll be surfing at lightning speed in no time!

There are no data caps, just pure, unthrottled internet for you to explore, learn, work and play – your way. Say goodbye to the anxiety of data caps and hello to unlimited internet freedom with our Nigerian FTTH! Forget counting gigabytes and worrying about exceeding limits.

A Fair Usage Policy (FUP) is a guideline set by internet service providers to ensure that all users on a network have a fair and consistent experience. It prevents a small number of heavy users from consuming an excessive amount of bandwidth, which could impact the speeds and quality of service for others. While most users won’t notice the FUP, those who exceed a certain data threshold might experience reduced speeds or other measures during peak times. This helps maintain a balanced and reliable network for everyone. If you think your usage might be affected, check your plan details or contact our support team for more information!
